    Description

    We are looking for a skilled Senior Accounting Manager to join our team in Bradenton, Florida. This is a long-term contract opportunity offering a hybrid work schedule with flexibility for remote work. The ideal candidate will bring significant expertise in financial management and accounting, along with strong leadership capabilities to guide and support the team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage the preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations, focusing on cash and accrual accounts.

    • Oversee journal entry processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

    • Analyze and interpret financial statements, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.

    • Support the development of staff and senior accountants by mentoring them on both technical and interpersonal skills.

    • Supervise the cash management team and ensure efficient handling of financial transactions.

    • Lead month-end and year-end close activities, adhering to tight deadlines and schedules.

    • Maintain a strong control environment by documenting processes and addressing compliance requirements.

    • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial statement audits and compliance testing.

    • Utilize BlackLine software to streamline reconciliation and close processes effectively.

    • Ensure adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance requirements and US GAAP standards.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting, preferably within a public company environment.

    • Proven expertise in month-end and year-end close processes, including accrual accounting.

    • Strong knowledge of GAAP and US GAAP principles.

    • Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance and maintaining a control environment.

    • Proficiency in account reconciliations and journal entry preparation.

    • Experience with financial statement audits and documentation.

    • Leadership skills to mentor and develop staff and senior accountants.

    • Hands-on experience with BlackLine software or similar reconciliation tools.
