Tax Preparer – San Diego, CA (Long-Term Contract)

We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team in San Diego, California. This long-term contract opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong tax preparation experience who is looking to work with a diverse client base and support a growing practice. Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and comprehensive tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and other entities.

• Support tax planning efforts by researching tax issues and helping identify opportunities for clients.

• Manage multiple client engagements and ensure all deadlines are met.

• Identify process improvements to enhance workflow efficiency.

• Collaborate closely with clients and internal team members to deliver high-quality service.

• Assist with general firm support initiatives as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• No CPA license required.

• Minimum of five years of hands-on tax preparation experience, ideally in a public accounting environment.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and current tax regulations.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office; experience with Thomson Reuters UltraTax is a plus.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Proven ability to balance multiple priorities with accuracy and strong attention to detail.

• Self-motivated, reliable, and team-oriented.
