Description We are looking for a dedicated Associate Attorney to join our team in Longview, Texas. This contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to engage in legal and administrative work, focusing on property tax collections while fostering meaningful relationships with local government entities. The ideal candidate will bring strong communication skills, legal expertise, and attention to detail to represent clients effectively and manage cases with precision.

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in various legal settings, including default judgment hearings and foreclosure proceedings.

• Attend public meetings, such as Commissioners' Court and City Council sessions, to present collection performance and address inquiries.

• Review and approve title work completed by legal assistants before filing lawsuits.

• Manage post-judgment processes, including property sales and follow-up actions.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with elected officials, administrators, and other client representatives.

• Oversee and mentor legal and administrative support staff to ensure quality and efficiency in case management.

• Collaborate with senior leadership to uphold firm standards and ensure compliance.

• Participate in ongoing development activities, including conferences and training sessions.

• Represent the firm with integrity and attention to detail in all client and public interactions. Requirements • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

• Active license and good standing to practice law in the State of Texas.

• 0–5 years of legal experience, preferably in property tax, municipal, or government law.

• Solid understanding of litigation processes and courtroom procedures.

• Valid Texas driver’s license and reliable transportation.

• Proficient in civil litigation tasks, including depositions and drafting motions.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present confidently.

• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
