Job Title: Marine Electrician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Marine Electrician with a background in the navy's A or E division. The role involves installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and modifying shipboard systems, integrated systems, and related equipment/software. You will perform maintenance and technical support in various locations including company, customer, and field sites. The role requires troubleshooting and diagnosing malfunctions swiftly and applying a comprehensive understanding of production and processes to complete assignments.
Responsibilities
+ Install, operate, maintain, repair, and modify shipboard and integrated systems.
+ Perform maintenance and technical support at company, customer, and field locations.
+ Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions to eliminate problems promptly.
+ Interface with customers, manage subcontractors, and provide work direction to others.
+ Develop and use technical documents such as work packages, test documents, and reports.
+ Perform duties outside specialty to complete installation or work assignments.
Essential Skills
+ High School diploma or equivalent, with 2 years of related experience.
+ Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing structural and mechanical systems.
+ Proficient in using power tools and measurement devices.
+ Ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints and technical manuals.
+ Knowledge of safety and quality control procedures.
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
+ Ability to obtain base access credentials within 60 days of start date.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with marine, ship repair, valves, electrical, hydraulics, and diesel systems.

Work Environment
This position is based at Naval Station Norfolk, offering a dynamic and engaging work environment. You will be involved in hands-on projects, working with advanced technologies and systems. The role requires compliance with safety protocols and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Newport News, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
