    Job Title: Bindery Machine Operator

    Job Description

    Set up and operate a variety of machines including folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills, and binding machines like perfect binders and saddle stitchers.

    Responsibilities

    + Set up and run bindery machines such as folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills, and binding machines.

    + Load printed materials into bindery machines and monitor output for quality and consistency.

    + Inspect finished products for defects such as misalignment, incorrect folds, or poor binding.

    + Make necessary adjustments to machines to maintain quality standards.

    + Perform routine maintenance on bindery equipment and troubleshoot mechanical issues.

    + Trim, fold, bind, and package printed materials.

    + Apply coatings, laminates, or other finishes as required.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in the printing industry.

    + Mechanical aptitude.

    + Proficient in math.

    + Experience with forklifts and RF scanners.

    + Inventory management skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with bindery and printing press operations.

    + Ability to use hand and power tools.

    + Experience with programming, offset printing, digital printing, and lamination.

    + Skill in using a drill press

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntley, IL.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
