    Metal Fabricator / Welder – Industrial Rotating Equipment

    About the Role

     

    Join our dynamic team specializing in the repair and manufacturing of pumps, turbines, compressors, and other industrial rotating machinery. We’re looking for a skilled **Fabricator/Welder** who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in precision craftsmanship.

    What You’ll Do

    + **Interpret Technical Drawings:** Read and understand engineering blueprints, welding symbols, and specifications for rotating equipment components.

    + **Fabricate & Fit:** Assemble metal components to exact tolerances for high-performance machinery.

    + **Expert Welding:** Perform TIG, MIG, SMAW, and flux-core welding techniques with accuracy and consistency.

    + **Operate Shop Equipment:** Use press brakes, calipers, grinders, pipe threading machines, and plasma cutters.

    + **Collaborate:** Work closely with machinists, mechanics, and engineers to ensure proper fitment and repair quality.

    + **Quality Assurance:** Inspect welds and assemblies for dimensional accuracy and structural integrity.

    + **Safety First:** Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow all safety protocols.

    + **Additional Support:** Assist with teardown, cleaning, and reassembly of rotating equipment as needed.

    What We’re Looking For

    + **Skills:** Fabrication, welding (TIG, MIG, SMAW), blueprint reading, fitting, flux-core welding.

    + **Experience:** Minimum 3+ years in fabrication and welding within an industrial or manufacturing setting.

    + **Attention to Detail:** Ability to work with precision and meet tight tolerances.

    + **Team Player:** Strong communication and collaboration skills.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, OR.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
