Job Description
The maintenance technician will work within the powertrain team to achieve key results in maintaining and repairing machinery and mechanical equipment. The candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills in PM and Electrical Systems and will contribute to developing strategies to meet team and company goals. The technician will report to various supervisors and managers within the production organization and must have a working knowledge of standard automotive OEM process equipment and related systems. A proactive and communicative approach is essential in executing daily activities.
Responsibilities
+ Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand and power tools.
+ Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure machines run smoothly and building systems operate efficiently.
+ Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, and replace filters.
+ Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
+ Record the type and cost of maintenance or repair work.
+ Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
+ Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, and hand tools/power tools.
Essential Skills
+ Basic knowledge of tools and machines, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance.
+ Experience in maintenance technology, PLC troubleshooting, automation, and preventive maintenance.
+ Proficient in pneumatic and hydraulic control systems, operation of cylinders and valves.
+ Ability to troubleshoot robots and automated equipment.
+ Skilled in using a multimeter and other diagnostic tools.
+ 8 to 10 years of experience required.
+ High School Diploma or GED required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Understanding of electrical control systems.
+ Mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting abilities for robots and automation equipment.
+ Familiarity with shafts, motors, chains, and conveyor systems.
+ Understanding of PLC logic controls (Rockwell/Siemens).
+ Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
+ Ability to operate mobile equipment including forklifts and powered industrial trucks.
+ Valid US driver's license and a clean driving record.

Work Environment
The position operates on a (B) DAY shift schedule: Wednesday 11:00 am - 5:30 pm, Thursday - Friday 5:00 am - 5:30 pm, and Saturday 5:00 am - 3:30 pm. The role involves frequent standing, stooping, walking, lifting heavy objects up to 50 pounds, and other physical activities throughout the workday. Employees typically work 40-48 hours per week, spread over four days, contributing to building cars.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $34.00/hr.
