    Job Title: General Production Worker

    Pay:

    Its based on experience, $15.00 an hour for entry level but will pay more based on carpentry / construction

    Job Description

    The general production worker will work within the custom department or Corian department, where they will be responsible for the production of custom cabinets and countertops, as well as plastic countertops and cabinets.

    Responsibilities

    + Follow basic procedures using hand tools, tape measures, air tools, and small hand tools.

    + Demonstrate a willingness to learn and a mechanical aptitude.

    + Engage in general labor, inspection, sanding, polishing, and the production of wooden and plastic cabinets.

    + Participate in assembly and finishing tasks.

    Essential Skills

    + Strong attention to detail.

    + Ability to perform basic math functions.

    + Experience with hand and power tools.

    + Ability to accurately read a tape measure.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in cabinet assembly.

    + Background in construction or woodworking.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is a custom cabinetry shop specializing in kitchen and bathroom cabinets and countertops. Expect a millwright setting with wood debris. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 6 am to 2:30 pm, with flexibility for extended hours and occasional Saturdays. The Corian Department involves working with plastic materials, which can result in a strong odor and a dusty environment akin to white chalk. Dress appropriately for a hands-on and sometimes messy environment.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hagerstown, MD.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $19.00/hr.
