Job Title: Production Worker
Job Description
Join a dynamic team where you will play a key role in maintaining and operating production machinery, ensuring quality and safety standards are met. This position involves assisting machine operators, performing sanitation tasks, and managing the movement of materials within the plant.
Responsibilities
+ Clean and maintain machinery parts in the maintenance department.
+ Assist machine operators during the production process.
+ Lift and move materials up to 50 lbs as needed for production tasks.
+ Assemble, inspect, pre-weigh, blend, mix, and pack materials.
+ Input and track production, safety, and quality data in the Production Reporting System.
+ Perform detailed cleaning and sanitation of plant equipment.
+ Load and unload products from the production line.
+ Ensure daily adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) regulations.
+ Inspect packaged finished goods and ingredients.
+ Ensure the integrity and sustained certification of the food safety and food quality system.
+ Report and take necessary actions to prevent food safety and food quality issues.
+ Evaluate hazards and verify measures to achieve a safe work environment.
+ Operate equipment controls, flour system, and blender recipe system.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in production and general labor.
+ Ability to read work orders and perform basic math calculations.
+ Experience with machine operation and forklift use.
+ Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
+ Strong mathematical skills for various calculations.
+ Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
+ Good understanding of plant quality requirements and GMP's.
+ Strong team mentality and good attendance record.

Work Environment
The work environment involves daily exposure to elements such as dirt, dust, fumes, noise, and vibrations. Employees may encounter seasonal weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and humidity. The role involves standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working with mechanical and chemical hazards. Personal protective equipment such as bump caps, safety glasses, and gloves are provided. Expect frequent task changes, multiple task management, and occasional irregular schedules or overtime.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
