Job Title: Field Technician
Job Description
As a Field Technician, you will visit current customer sites to install CO2 monitors due to new regulations. This role involves light, low voltage work similar to installing fire alarms in residential settings. You will be responsible for installing monitors directly to systems using CAT 5 cabling.
Responsibilities
+ Install CO2 monitors at various customer sites, including restaurants and gas stations.
+ Perform light, low voltage work similar to fire alarm installations.
+ Use CAT 5 cabling to connect monitors to systems.
+ Drive your own vehicle to customer sites and pick up materials from the shop or depot.
+ Install small electronic boxes near CO2 tanks in commercial settings.
+ Utilize tools such as drills, wire snips, pliers, and crimps.
+ Pay close attention to detail when running wires.
+ Document work using a smartphone for GPS, photos, and mileage documentation.
+ Communicate politely with customers to explain the purpose of your visit.
Essential Skills
+ 2 years of experience in light construction, mechanical, or electrical fields.
+ Reliable transportation capable of covering 400 miles a week.
+ Ability to use a smartphone for GPS and documentation purposes.
+ Possess necessary tools and a ladder for work.
+ Strong communication skills to interact with customers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with low voltage or light electrical work is a plus.
+ Experience driving for work is beneficial.
+ Handy DIY skills are advantageous.

Work Environment
Work independently across various customer sites, meeting at the shop before heading out. The job requires documenting your visits and work progress. Shifts run from 7am to 3pm, with the possibility to start as early as 6:30am. You must be prepared to work weekends if needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lakewood, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
