Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
Join a leading provider of precision stainless and specialty alloy tubing products, serving a wide range of industries including power generation, renewable energy, oil and gas, petrochemical, food and dairy, beverage, pharmaceutical, and general commercial sectors. You will operate the Mill machine, responsible for bending metal into pipe form, and ensure its smooth operation.
Responsibilities
+ Run the Mill machine to bend metal into pipe form.
+ Change out metal rolls every 2-12 hours as needed.
+ Troubleshoot and perform minor mechanical repairs, quality checks, and adjustments on machines.
+ Understand basic knowledge of 3-phase, 480-volt electrical systems to know when to call for major repairs.
+ Perform minor welding tasks, such as tack welding, without prior welding experience (training provided).
+ Conduct basic preventative maintenance on machines.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with calipers and micrometer.
+ Ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and think outside the box.
+ 2 years of experience in troubleshooting and running machinery.
+ Preventive maintenance skills.
+ Experience with hand tools, power tools, mechanical, electrical, welding, and fabrication.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in machining, maintenance, mechanic, or fabrication.
+ 2 years of maintenance and welding/fabrication experience.

Work Environment
The role operates on a D shift from Friday through Sunday, 5 pm to 5 am. The work environment is safe and friendly, with approximately 100 employees working across 4 shifts in a non-union shop. Training lasts 3-6 months and the dress code is casual.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Janesville, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
