Logistics Operator Needed!

Job Description

We are seeking a **Logistics Operator** to ensure the efficient movement of materials and finished products throughout the supply chain. This role involves coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, managing inventory levels, and optimizing transportation routes to support production schedules and customer delivery commitments. You’ll work closely with suppliers, warehouse teams, and transportation providers to maintain seamless operations and prevent delays.

Shift & Pay

+ **Shift:** 3rd Shift – 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM

+ **Pay:** $20.50/hr

Core Purpose of the Role

You’ll be responsible for:

+ **Inbound logistics:** Receiving raw materials or components from suppliers.

+ **Outbound logistics:** Shipping finished goods to customers.

+ **Inventory control:** Maintaining balanced stock levels.

+ **Transportation optimization:** Selecting routes and carriers to save time and cost.

Your work ensures production runs smoothly and customers receive their orders on time.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

+ Schedule shipments and coordinate with carriers.

+ Track inventory and prevent stock issues.

+ Communicate with suppliers, warehouses, and transport providers.

+ Resolve problems such as shipment delays or damaged goods.

+ Report performance metrics and suggest improvements.

Essential Skills

+ High school diploma or equivalent.

+ Experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse operations (manufacturing preferred).

+ Basic knowledge of inventory management and transportation procedures.

+ Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office.

+ Strong organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Skills (Plus)

+ Associate degree or certification in logistics or supply chain management.

+ Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle).

+ Familiarity with transportation and safety regulations.

+ Ability to analyze logistics data and implement improvements.

+ Forklift certification or warehouse equipment experience.

Work Environment

This role is based in a manufacturing setting with varying temperatures and occasional strong odors (masks provided). Physical tasks include lifting 50+ lbs, bending, and crouching.

The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $20.50/hr.
