Job Description

Join our team as a General Production Worker where you will be responsible for filling trucks with chemicals in our enclosed loading bay. As part of your duties, you will work with tanker truck drivers, ensuring the correct chemicals are selected and loaded. Safety is paramount, and you will utilize all necessary protective gear to perform your tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

+ Fill tanker trucks with the correct chemicals based on work orders.

+ Operate from a controls room to select and manage chemical distribution.

+ Wear and maintain all required safety gear, including rubber boots, overalls, a jacket, and a full face shield.

+ Use a large hose to connect to the tanker truck, ensuring accurate chemical transfer.

+ Seal and tag the top of the tanker after filling it with the correct chemicals.

+ Manually fill 5-gallon buckets, drums, or totes to the required weight.

+ Perform tasks mainly manually, with occasional forklift usage.

Essential Skills

+ 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing production environment, preferably in Pharma, Food, Medical, or Chemical sectors.

+ 2+ years of experience in documenting work, including outbound shipments and quality checks.

+ Strong computer skills for entering information, pulling orders, and tracking orders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in warehouse operations, chemical handling, and as a filler operator.

+ Analytical skills and experience with packaging and production work.

Work Environment

You will be working in a chemical manufacturing plant at the Rosemount site, with occasional support needed at the Saint Paul sites. The role involves physical activity, including climbing stairs to connect hoses to trucks. Safety is a top priority, and you will be fully equipped with protective gear. Work hours are from 6am-2pm or 10am-6am, Monday to Friday, with flexibility for overtime. The environment is structured to ensure safety and efficiency in all operations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rosemount, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
