    Job Title: General Production Worker

    Job Description

    Join our team as a General Production Worker, where you will be responsible for operating industrial sewing machines to manufacture medical device parts. You will receive comprehensive training on industrial sewing machines, starting with a week-long class followed by mentorship on the production floor to ensure you understand the entire production process.

     

    Shift & Pay

     

    1st shift - 6am - 2:30pm

     

    2nd - 3pm - 11:30pm - $18/hr

    Responsibilities

    + Operate industrial sewing machines to manufacture medical device parts.

    + Set up sewing machines with the correct thread.

    + Increase production count to expected output levels within 13 weeks.

    + Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

    + Sit for extended periods while operating sewing machines.

    + Seek assistance or call maintenance if issues arise with sewing machines.

    + Ensure products meet quality standards.

    Essential Skills

    + Attention to detail.

    + Ability to meet production goals.

    + Experience or ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Industrial sewing experience.

    + Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

    + Experience in medical device manufacturing.

    Work Environment

     

    The company is a contract manufacturing medical device company experiencing 30% growth over the past year. With 800 employees at our St. Charles location, the production floor is equipped with 75% industrial sewing machines in a clean GMP environment. Hair nets and beard nets (if applicable) are required. The facility is not climate-controlled, so it can get warm during the summer months. Each sewing machine is equipped with a fan, and additional fans are spread throughout the production area. Our workforce is diverse, with over 5-6 languages spoken. We offer a supportive environment for non-fluent English speakers who can use translation technology. We operate on two shifts: 1st Shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm (with options to start at 4:00 am) and 2nd Shift from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm (with options to work until 1:00 am). Voluntary Saturday work is available once production rates are met.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Charles, IL.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
