    Job Description

    We are looking for individuals with Carbide Header Die maker experience to join our team. We welcome both entry-level and intermediate skillsets to apply.

     

    About the Role

     

    We are seeking a skilled **Carbide Machinist** to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with carbide materials and precision machining processes. This position requires attention to detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate and maintain CNC and manual machines to produce carbide components.

    + Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.

    + Perform precision grinding, milling, and turning of carbide parts.

    + Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools to ensure quality standards.

    + Maintain a clean and organized work area.

    + Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues as needed.

    + Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.

    Qualifications

    + **Experience:** Minimum 2–3 years of machining experience, preferably with carbide materials.

    + **Skills:** Proficient in CNC programming and setup; knowledge of grinding and finishing processes.

    + Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

    + Strong attention to detail and quality.

    + Good problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.

    Preferred

    + Experience with carbide tooling and precision grinding.

    + Familiarity with CAD/CAM software a plus.

    + Previous work in a high-precision manufacturing environment.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockford, IL.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $19.00/hr.
