Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The candidate will apply best practices and procedures in preventative maintenance, inspection, diagnostics, and repair of equipment, machinery, buildings, and utilities. You will assist the Maintenance Lead with troubleshooting and hydraulic repairs, and your primary responsibility will be machinery preventive maintenance. Machinery operators do not perform preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

+ Assist with hydraulic repairs and troubleshooting.

+ Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.

+ Work on hydraulic equipment, servo-driven machines, some PLCs, and electrical systems.

+ Handle routine tasks to allow senior technicians to focus on projects and troubleshooting.

+ Perform facilities maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.

+ Install and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.

+ Conduct fabrication maintenance and repairs on milling machines, heat treat ovens, walk-in freezers, hydraulic presses, air compressors, and vacuum pumps.

+ Perform preventive maintenance tasks throughout the facility.

Essential Skills

+ 5+ years of experience in maintenance, ideally, in a manufacturing environment.

+ Strong in industrial hydraulic equipment.

+ Experience with 480V electrical systems.

+ Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in fabrication, HVAC, and plumbing is a plus.

Work Environment

The team consists of four maintenance technicians, with two set to retire within the next six months. You will be directed by a lead and senior team members on a day-to-day basis. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 2:30 PM, with some flexibility possible. Interaction with supervisors and other team members on the floor is part of the role. The team is known for being straightforward and direct, but rude or unprofessional behavior is not tolerated.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Charles, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
