    Job Title: Machinist and Programmer

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled machinist to join our team. The role involves setting up and operating Akuma and Haas mills to achieve production standards and optimize performance. You will be responsible for inspecting raw materials for quality, ensuring tool accuracy through maintenance and inspection, and conducting quality control using precision measurement devices.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate CNC mills with minimal guidance to produce high-quality fabricated parts from engineering drawings.

    + Work from sketches and drawings to produce parts from sheet metal, plate, and bar stock.

    + Provide redlines to engineering for detailing corrections needed on prints.

    + Program CNC machines utilizing provided nesting and CAM software.

    + Adhere to safety protocols and troubleshoot production issues proactively.

    + Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with Akuma and Haas mills.

    + Proficiency in Mastercam programming.

    + Ability to interpret and process parts per the given blueprint.

    + Experience in running Haas equipment.

    + CAD CAM experience, with Mastercam preferred.

    + Haas Control experience.

    + Proficiency in running manual mill and lathe.

    + Ability to perform general fab shop duties, including working with lathe and calipers.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Proto Trak Control experience preferred.

    + Experience with CNC mills setup and operation.

    Work the first shift from 7am to 3:30pm.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenfield, IN.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
