Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Assembly Technician to perform routine production assembly operations on electrical and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and aircraft systems equipment and accessories. This role involves using manual operations and requires a strong commitment to growth, development, and professionalism.
Responsibilities
+ Perform routine production assembly operations on electrical and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and aircraft systems equipment and accessories using manual operations.
+ Exhibit a strong commitment to growth, development, and professionalism to drive learning and development for continuous improvement within the manufacturing team.
+ Work independently to develop, modify, and document actions to assure problem resolution and/or to implement corrective action and/or preventive action.
+ Engage in ongoing learning to build and maintain necessary knowledge, skills, and a thorough understanding of the job.
+ Solve routine problems of limited scope and complexity by following established practices and procedures.
+ Receive general supervision with basic instructions for routine work and detailed instructions for new lines of work or special assignments.
+ Perform routine or standardized work choosing from a variety of well-established options.
Essential Skills
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ 1 year experience reading and understanding engineering drawings and specifications such as blueprint/schematic reading and specification changes.
+ Experience in a highly regulated environment where compliance is critical.
+ 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
+ Experience with fabrication and/or assembly of mechanical or electrical systems utilizing production industry standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 1 year of experience working with specialized tools such as electrical and mechanical wire crimpers and strippers, wire routing tools, accessing computer files, and multimeters.
+ Knowledge of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities, and data needed for defining delivery configurations.
+ Ability to differentiate production manufacturing processes and requirements from in-service procedures and requirements.
+ Complete knowledge of shop processes including Foreign Object Damage/Debris (FOD) prevention, material handling, safety, calibration requirements, and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD).

Work Environment
This position is 100% onsite at our sub-assembly plant, working on electrical components such as building wire harnesses, boxes, and circuit breakers. Candidates must be willing to work any shift and must be able to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship. Relocation assistance is not available, so candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Smithfield, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
