    Job Title: EVS Technician

    Job Description

    The EVS Technician is responsible for the thorough cleaning and maintenance of non-occupied patient rooms. This includes deep cleaning tasks such as flipping mattresses, making beds, and disinfecting entire rooms. The role also involves handling linens and cleaning isolation rooms, which requires adherence to strict safety measures and wearing protective gear.

    Responsibilities

    + Clean non-occupied patient rooms, requiring 20-30 minutes per room for deep cleaning.

    + Make beds, flip mattresses, and thoroughly clean and disinfect rooms.

    + Handle linens by placing them into large, heavy bags and disposing them down the chute.

    + Clean isolation rooms with strict adherence to safety measures, including wearing a full gown and mask.

    + Perform thorough mopping and cleaning of isolation rooms.

    Essential Skills

    + Strong attendance record.

    + Punctuality and reliability to work required hours and shifts.

    + Excellent communication skills for interaction with patients, nurses, doctors, and housekeeping team.

    + Exceptional customer service skills and ability to work with challenging individuals.

    + Ability to lift 50lbs and push 200lbs.

    + 6 months of previous experience in hospital or hotel cleaning/housekeeping.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Direct experience in hospitals is a plus.

    Work Environment

     

    The position operates primarily in a hospital setting where candidates will work independently most of the time, emphasizing the importance of being a self-starter. Adherence to the dress code is required, including no facial piercings, covering tattoos, and avoiding heavy fragrances. Work hours are from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday with rotating weekends.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $15.75 - $18.00/hr.
