Job Title: Journeyman Plumber
Job Description
Join our team as a Journeyman Plumber, where you will perform new construction installs of plumbing equipment for commercial sites throughout West Michigan. You will work with copper and PEX plumbing materials, utilizing hand and power tools to hang, solder, and thread pipe to completion. This role requires the ability to read a tape measure, cut, and level piping installs.
Responsibilities
+ Install plumbing equipment in new construction commercial sites.
+ Work with copper and PEX materials to complete installations.
+ Use hand tools and power tools to hang, solder, and thread pipe.
+ Read tape measures, cut, and level piping accurately.
Essential Skills
+ Ability to fit and solder copper for domestic water systems.
+ Capability to thread pipe.
+ General plumbing knowledge, including how hangers are made, hanging pipe, and plumbing code.
+ Possession of own hand tools such as a tape measure, channel locks, drill, and level.
+ Comfortable working at heights, with average work at 20 feet and up to 100 feet.
+ Possession of a vehicle and valid driver's license.
+ State of Michigan Journeyman or Master Plumber certification with leadership experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with operating equipment like boom lifts, scissor lifts, and ladders.
+ Experience in blueprint reading, general labor, and welding.
+ 3+ years of experience in the commercial plumbing or pipefitting industry, working on projects such as schools, warehouses, medical centers, apartments, or community centers.

Work Environment
Work in diverse commercial environments such as schools, warehouses, community centers, apartments, and medical buildings. Most projects are indoors, though some outdoor work may be required. Current projects are located in Lakeview, Zeeland, Holland, Schoolcraft, and Grand Rapids. The team consists of approximately 20 plumbers and pipefitters. The typical shift starts at 6 or 7 am and may last 8-10 hours, with potential overtime of 5-10 hours. Steel toes or boots that go over the ankle are required, and we provide hard hats, glasses, gloves, and necessary power tools.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
