    Machinist Lead – Swing Shift

    Position Summary

    We are looking for a skilled Machinist Lead to join our swing shift team. This role demands strong technical ability, sound judgment, and a commitment to safety. Candidates must remain alert, adapt quickly to changing conditions, and maintain focus in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

    Primary Duties

    + Interpret verbal instructions, blueprints, and production plans to determine machining requirements.

    + Load and secure parts into machines, operate control panels, unload components, deburr, and organize finished parts for storage or shipment. At times, you may operate two machines simultaneously.

    + Monitor dimensions and features during production runs to ensure accuracy and quality.

    + Assist supervisors with production tasks, including program verification, machine setup, offset adjustments, and quality inspections.

    + Review technical documents such as drawings, manuals, and specifications to establish tolerances, operational sequences, and setup needs.

    + Mark reference points and dimensions on raw materials for precise machining.

    + Identify and correct equipment issues or out-of-tolerance conditions within machine capabilities; report any malfunctions promptly.

    + Maintain a clean, organized work area and perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment.

    + Comply with all company policies, safety standards, environmental regulations, and quality procedures.

    + Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

    Required Qualifications

    + High school diploma or GED

    + Minimum 4 years’ experience operating vertical machines

    + At least 2 years’ experience in CNC programming for vertical and horizontal mills, 4th axis machining, positioners, and Fanuc/Okuma controllers

    + Familiarity with various equipment types, inspection tools, speeds/feeds, and tooling

    + Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and prioritize safety

    + Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices

    This is a Permanent position based out of Seattle, WA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $105000.00/yr.
