Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The maintenance technician will work within the powertrain team to achieve a key result or group of aligned results. They must possess a strong knowledge of troubleshooting PM and Electrical Systems. They must help to develop strategies to meet team and company goals. The technician must possess a working knowledge of standard automotive OEM process equipment and related systems, be a problem solver, and be communicative and proactive in the execution of daily activities. The main responsibility is to perform work to maintain the upkeep of machinery, mechanical equipment, or the structure of an establishment in repair.

Responsibilities

+ Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand/power tools.

+ Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure machines run smoothly and building systems operate efficiently.

+ Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, and replace filters.

+ Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.

+ Record the type and cost of maintenance or repair work.

+ Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.

+ Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, and hand tools/power tools.

+ Must have basic knowledge of tools and machines, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

Essential Skills

+ 8 to 10 years of experience in maintenance technician roles.

+ High school diploma or GED.

+ Experience in PLC troubleshooting, automation, preventive maintenance, pneumatics, PLC programming, and electro-mechanical troubleshooting.

+ Understanding of electrical control systems and mechanical knowledge of robots and automation equipment.

+ Familiarity with shafts, motors, chains, and conveyor systems.

+ Understanding of PLC logic controls, pneumatic and hydraulic control systems, and operation of cylinders and valves.

+ Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.

+ Ability to operate mobile equipment, including forklifts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Valid US driver's license and a clean driving record.

+ Understanding of Rockwell/Siemens PLC systems.

Work Environment

Frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds, and perform similar actions during the workday. Work 40-48 hours per week, with the potential for overtime. The work environment is dynamic and team-focused, with opportunities for professional growth and contribution to innovative projects.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $34.00/hr.
