Job Title: Production Associate
Job Description
Join our team as a Production Associate, where you will play a critical role in the production process. You will be responsible for operating production equipment, ensuring quality control, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This role is perfect for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for safety and quality.
Responsibilities
+ Follow all safety and quality guidelines.
+ Assist in preparing production line for runs, including proper safety checks and staging of raw materials.
+ Perform production counts, quality checks, and downtime recording.
+ Operate all production equipment according to defined standards and product specification targets.
+ Properly handle raw materials and assist in identifying potential quality issues.
+ Escalate issues to the Operator, Production Supervisor, and Warehouse Manager as necessary.
+ Maintain cleanliness in production and warehouse areas, and follow all SOPs.
+ Ensure compliance with certifications such as Organic, Kosher, HACCP, and SQF.
+ Maintain 5S standards in the production department.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in production, packaging, and line production.
+ Ability to work on the production line with other team members.
+ Previous food manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
+ Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety, and PPE requirements.
+ Good communication and teamwork skills.
+ Basic reading and math skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bilingual (English/Spanish) abilities are a plus, but not required.
+ Knowledge of manual and power jack operation (training will be provided, if necessary).
+ Basic computer skills; Redzone experience is a plus, but not required.
+ Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.

Work Environment
Work in a climate-controlled facility that smells like taco seasoning. The schedule is Monday through Thursday from 6 AM to 4:30 PM, with some potential overtime on Fridays. Join a smaller, close-knit team that values growth and learning.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, MO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $26.00/hr.
