Job Title: Masonry Worker
Job Description
We are seeking two dedicated and skilled Concrete Masons to join our team, contributing to large commercial construction projects throughout the Saratoga Area. As part of one of the region's prominent general contractors, you will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality, durable finishes that meet client specifications and safety standards.
Responsibilities
+ Layout and set forms to correct depth and pitch.
+ Install rebar and prepare subgrade.
+ Place, spread, and finish concrete using hand and power tools.
+ Operate mechanized finishing equipment for large slabs.
+ Ensure proper curing and protection of concrete surfaces.
+ Maintain floor flatness and oversee crew (for foreman roles), manage schedules, and coordinate material deliveries.
+ Enforce safety regulations and quality standards.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 1 year of experience in commercial flatwork.
+ Ability to finish concrete flatwork on large commercial construction projects.
+ Knowledge and understanding of concrete properties, mix designs, and curing methods.
+ Significant knowledge of finishing techniques and ability to perform screeding, floating, troweling, edging, and jointing.
+ Blueprint reading of construction drawings.
+ Skilled in using hand tools and mechanized finishing equipment (e.g., power trowels, laser screeds).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ OSHA 10 Certification.
+ Understanding of floor flatness standards and FF/FL tolerances for commercial slabs.
+ Reliable transportation.

Work Environment
Work on commercial construction projects across the Saratoga Region. Field hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with potential for overtime during weekdays and occasionally on weekends. Candidates must be willing to work overtime as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saratoga Springs, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $30.00/hr.
