    Job Title: Warehouse Worker

    Job Description

    The Material Handler is responsible for ensuring that production lines are adequately stocked with raw material according to the production schedule. This involves loading, unloading, and moving materials from the raw material warehouse into production as needed.

    Responsibilities

    + Review production schedules to determine materials needed for production runs and ensure machines, equipment, and materials are in place for daily production.

    + Manually and visually check raw material levels in resin boxes, shovel loose materials to ensure continuous suction and flow.

    + Handle color changes and changeovers by pulling materials and distributing them to designated areas, aiding in smooth transitions.

    + Pull raw material from the warehouse using a forklift or pallet jack as needed or requested.

    + Manage material flow by breaking down empty boxes, stacking or assembling materials into bundles, banding them, and loading onto trailers.

    + Maintain a tracking system for materials removed from the warehouse, updating lot numbers and quantities.

    + Attend meetings, workshops, and learning sessions as required.

    + Empty trash and unload trucks as needed.

    + Serve as a backup to the Raw Materials Receiving Operator and other functions as required.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Knowledge and understanding of basic reading, writing, and math.

    + Familiarity with raw materials.

    + Ability to operate a forklift and electric pallet jack.

    + Troubleshooting skills for equipment.

    + Ability to interpret production schedules.

    + Strong service orientation and ability to maintain a positive attitude.

    + Commitment to high-quality standards.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High School Diploma or equivalent.

    + 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.

    + Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

    + Warehouse background preferred.

    + Punctuality and reliability.

    + Ability to perform manual labor and handle fast-paced environments.

    + Capability to read, write, and understand numbers for order picking.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mcpherson, KS.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $19.00/hr.
