Hiring Mold Set Up and Process Technician

Carlsbad, CA

Job Description

You will work closely with the Lead Technician, overseeing four machines, performing two to three set-ups a day, and loading various machines.

Responsibilities

+ Efficiently and accurately remove, install, and set up molds in injection molding machines.

+ Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to injection molding processes, machinery, and molds.

+ Optimize molding parameters to ensure consistent product quality and maximum efficiency.

+ Manage job completion dates against the established work schedule.

+ Conduct regular preventive maintenance on injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.

+ Inspect molded parts for quality and conformance to specifications.

+ Document process parameters, quality control data, and maintenance activities.

+ Collaborate with the Sales, Quality, and Manufacturing departments during the concept, prototyping, and release phases of new products.

+ Maintain a clean and organized work environment by following established procedures.

Essential Skills

+ Injection molding machine operation and maintenance.

+ Knowledge of various injection molding machines, processes, and materials.

+ Ability to adjust and optimize molding parameters such as temperature, pressure, and cycle time.

+ Assembly, soldering, mechanical skills, and point-to-point soldering is a plus.

+ Proficiency with basic hand and power tools.

+ Basic troubleshooting skills.

+ Ability to lift 50lbs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.
