Construction Safety Manager

Description
The safety manager will be in charge of safety on construction Job sites in the Savannah Area. Will be performing site checks, orientations, handing out PPE and reporting for client. Will be champion for process-improvement initiatives. Must have a strong knowledge of Safety for construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety Program Development:
Create and maintain comprehensive safety policies and procedures for construction projects.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, local regulations, and company standards.
Risk Assessment
Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
Perform job hazard analyses and recommend preventive measures.
Training & Education:
Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees, contractors, and subcontractors.
Maintain records of all safety training and certifications.
Incident Management:
Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare detailed reports and recommend solutions.
Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Compliance & Documentation:
Maintain accurate safety records, including inspection reports, incident logs, and compliance documentation.
Prepare and submit required safety reports to regulatory agencies and management.
Collaboration & Leadership:
Work closely with project managers, supervisors, and field teams to ensure safety standards are integrated into daily operations.
Promote a proactive safety culture through leadership and communication.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in construction safety management.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Certifications such as CSP, CHST, or OSHA 30-hour preferred.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Savannah, GA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.26 - $55.28/hr.
