Fabricator/Grinder and CNC Operators needed in Lenexa

Job Description

The Grinder Operator will develop the skills to operate a grinding machine to fabricate parts, playing a crucial role in the manufacturing process. This position offers a comprehensive training program, making it accessible to those willing to learn and grow in the field.

A CNC Operator, as part of a team, is responsible for running custom, milling files for flexible dies according to customer specifications. The operator prepares every die and inputs order specifications into the computer to run program files that mill all lines to be able to cut material effectively and accurately.

Responsibilities

+ Operate machines to fabricate parts according to specifications.

+ Ensure precision and quality in all fabricated components.

+ Follow blueprint instructions and production guidelines.

+ Collaborate with the team to meet production targets and deadlines.

+ Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions or required maintenance.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in machine operation, specifically in production settings.

+ Understanding of mechanical processes, including lathe and mill operations.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

+ Proficiency in programming and setup for machining tasks.

+ Experience in grinding and machine shop operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 2+ years of manufacturing experience.

+ Mechanically inclined with a comfortable ability to work with computers.

+ Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift.

Work Environment

Work in a climate-controlled, clean, and organized manufacturing facility. The position operates on a 3rd shift schedule from 10pm to 6am, with paid breaks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $22.80/hr.
