    Job Title: Warehouse Associate

    Job Description

    The Warehouse Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient storage, movement, and organization of materials within the warehouse. This position requires experience with stand-up forklifts and involves specialization in either Production Support or Shipping and Receiving. The role is vital for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the warehouse environment, adhering to operating procedures, and supporting the production and shipping processes.

    Responsibilities

    + Remove trash, recyclables, deficient materials, and broken pallets from the warehouse.

    + Perform housekeeping according to the Master Sanitation Schedule.

    + Address requests via radio or email promptly.

    + Invert or wrap items as necessary.

    + Communicate with various departments via phone or email.

    + Adhere to all safety rules, policies, and standard operating procedures.

    + Operate all heavy equipment and adhere to operating procedures.

    + Load and unload trailers.

    + Perform daily or weekly inventory counts.

    + Conduct daily inspection and maintenance of heavy equipment batteries.

    + Execute put-away tasks using a handheld device.

    + Secure pallets by re-wrapping or transferring to a lower tier.

    + Safely store and handle hazardous materials in compliance with OSHA guidelines.

    + Perform local daily driving duties and back up non-local drivers.

    + Complete weekly Behavioral Based assessments and maintain emergency shower and eye station.

    + Specialize as a Shipping and Receiving Specialist, operating a stand-up forklift.

    + Receive, barcode, and store incoming materials appropriately.

    + Physically load/unload boxes and drums onto/from transportation vehicles.

    + Prepare materials for shipping, including cleaning, labeling, and checking lot numbers.

    + Complete daily Shipping and Receiving Inspection forms.

    + Prepare order packets for picking and print appropriate labels.

    + Process UPS & FedEx packages and deliver offline packages.

    + Prepare and package hazardous material according to D.O.T standards.

    + Receipt inbound freight in SAP and stage lots for sampling.

    Essential Skills

    + Clear written and verbal communication skills.

    + Detail-oriented with the ability to read lot numbers.

    + Ability to follow directions and work with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

    + Professional interaction with all levels of personnel.

    + Capability to work with amino acids, vitamins, and fine chemicals.

    + Team-based problem-solving skills.

    + Results-focused and oriented towards team goals.

    + Flexible hours, including overtime and weekends.

    + Valid California driver's license with a clean DMV record.

    + Ability to remain calm in difficult situations.

    + Experience and certification in forklift and motorized pallet jack operation.

    + Ability to handle multiple, rapidly changing priorities.

    + Ability to work with minimal supervision while remaining productive.

    + Proficiency in spoken and written English.

    + Computer literacy with basic numeracy skills.

    + Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word, and other software.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Must be able to work in a team environment and possess team-based problem-solving skills.

    + Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment requires wearing steel toe boots, safety vests, and hard hats. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with some overtime and flexibility for Saturdays as needed.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of CARLSBAD, CA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $21.54 - $21.54/hr.
