Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

Join our team as a Mechanical Assembler, where you will be responsible for brazing copper to copper piping using an oxyacetylene torch. This role involves working on custom units, requiring you to cut piping to length and assemble it based on each customer's needs. You will also assist in assembling the housing for these racks, working off blueprints as necessary. The position requires frequent movement, including bending, kneeling, and twisting.

Responsibilities

+ Brazing copper to copper piping using an oxyacetylene torch.

+ Cutting piping to specified lengths and assembling according to customer requirements.

+ Working from blueprints to ensure accurate assembly.

+ Assisting in the assembly of rack housings.

+ Performing physical activities such as bending, kneeling, and twisting.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with mechanical assembly, brazing, and reading blueprints.

+ Proficient use of hand tools and a tape measure.

+ Understanding of schematics and electrical assembly.

+ General labor skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Minimum of 3 months experience in mechanical assembly, complex machine operation, or construction.

+ Mechanically inclined individuals, such as plumbers or entry-level welders, are encouraged to apply.

+ Experience with MIG welding on mild steel is advantageous.

+ Background in repairing machinery or automotive work is beneficial.

Work Environment

Work in a large manufacturing building with a team-oriented approach, typically in groups of 3-4 people. The environment is fast-paced and well-lit, maintaining cleanliness despite the nature of the work. Work hours are from 5:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Thursday. Although there is no A/C, fans are available to ensure airflow. Steel-toed shoes and long pants are required daily.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ramsey, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
