    Electrical Test Technician

    **Pay:** $25–$35/hour (Weekly Pay)

    **Shift:** 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM | 2-2-3 Schedule

     

    Overview

     

    We are seeking an experienced Electrical Test Technician to test electrical switchboards and power distribution equipment for compliance with UL standards and customer specifications. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Perform electrical tests using Megger, Hi-Pot testers, and multimeters.

    + Verify components against engineering drawings and wiring diagrams.

    + Conduct dielectric, insulation, torque, and dimensional tests per UL 891, NEC, and NFPA 70E standards.

    + Document test results and collaborate with engineering and production teams.

    + Occasional travel for field support.

    Requirements

    + **Education:** Associate degree in Electrical Technology or equivalent experience (NETA certification preferred).

    + **Experience:** Minimum 2 years of testing industrial electrical equipment.

    + Strong knowledge of electrical theory and power distribution systems.

    + Ability to read technical documents and schematics.

    + Solid understanding of electrical safety practices.

    + Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 60 lbs.

    + Valid driver’s license.

    + PPE provided: steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and cut-resistant sleeves.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanover, MD.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
