Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to ensure the reliability and efficient operation of our equipment. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and maintaining accurate records for various systems within our facility.
Responsibilities
+ Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on conveyors, automation, robotics, and ancillary equipment.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve issues with out-of-service equipment, acting as a point of escalation for lower-level technicians.
+ Record all maintenance issues in the maintenance log and document work in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and ticketing systems.
+ Maintain accurate operating logs for fire pumps, generators, HVAC equipment, and other facility systems.
+ Conduct root cause analysis for major downtime events.
+ Assist other maintenance mechanics with tasks requiring two people or as operational needs demand.
+ Carry out facility project work including light bulb/ballast replacement, door repairs, furniture installation, ceiling tile replacement, carpentry duties, plumbing repairs, and maintaining operation logs.
+ Assemble and test equipment to ensure correct operation and production, analyzing and recording causes of production delays.
+ Examine defects and analyze spoilage causes, taking corrective action and verifying problem resolution.

Work Environment
Work in a very clean, climate-controlled, FDA-regulated facility. Follow GMP standards including wearing hairnets, beard nets, and no jewelry. Enjoy a rotating 2-2-3 schedule with available shifts from 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am (with a shift premium), and second shift from 3pm-1:30am. Training will occur Monday to Friday on 8-hour shifts for 4-12 weeks with flexible start times ranging from 5am-9am.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hartland, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $45.00/hr.
