    We’re looking for a strategic, technically fluent Principal Group Product Manager (GPM) to lead platform innovations across Xbox Console, PC, and Windows. You’ll guide a team of Product Managers to define the product strategy and orchestrate execution across engineering, design, and partner teams. From vision to launch, you’ll drive alignment, velocity, and impact.

     

    This role blends deep technical insight with cross-org leadership and crisp execution. You’ll be at the center of one of the most ambitious platform efforts in gaming, steering complex programs, engaging senior stakeholders, and delivering breakthrough experiences.

    What You’ll Do:

    + Set the vision and strategy for Xbox platform technology development across Console, PC, and Windows

    + Lead and mentor a team of Product Managers driving innovation and scalability

    + Coordinate execution across engineering, design, and partner organizations

    + Deliver clear, actionable updates to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders

    + Drive alignment, accountability, and momentum across the product lifecycle

    Responsibilities

    + **Developing Technical Product Strategies** : Identify customer needs, analyzing trends, combining your technical expertise with your product knowledge, and develop product roadmaps that align with Xbox’s vision and strategy.

    + **Execute on Product Development** : Guide and mentor the PM team to write clear and concise product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for new and existing features. Additionally, conducting internal testing, A/B testing, and analyze production data to validate hypotheses and measure the impact of features.

    + **Thinking Creatively and Driving Innovation** : Think creatively and deliver on new ideas, constantly striving to improve and innovate. Identify new product opportunities and developing innovative solutions that meet the needs of our customers and business.

    + **Delivering High-quality Results** : Deliver high-quality results and ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

    + **Collaborating with Cross-functional Teams** : Work collaboratively with others across organizations to achieve success.

    + **Clear Communication** : Communicate the product vision, value proposition, and roadmaps to internal and external teams to gaming, including senior leadership.

    Qualifications

    _Required Qualifications:_

    Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.1+ year(s) people management experience.

    _Preferred Qualifications:_

    8+ years of coaching and people management skills leading a diverse and inclusive, talented and creative team.

     

    Proven ability to create a healthy team culture of diversity, inclusion, belonging, and collaboration.

     

    Experience handling successful delivery from initial strategy to engineering requirements to audience/user adoption

     

    Technical background and solid foundation in hardware, software and operating system engineering principles

     

    Proven experience in the ability to plan and execute on complex partner facing initiatives in an ambiguous environment.

     

    Proven track record of developing integrated partnerships across disparate groups

     

    Reliable communication, collaboration, and negotiating skills

     

    Demonstrated track-record of self-directed execution

     

    Experience in innovation and thinking creatively about complex problems while maintaining a focus on a profitable business.

     

    Comfortable working in a fast-paced dynamic environment with rapidly changing requirements

     

    Ability to collaborate across teams and levels of management.

     

    Product Management M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
