    The Front End Developer will own the design, implementation, and optimization of user interfaces and client-side logic for our IoT-enabled AI platform—spanning AI-driven software, connected devices, and operational automation. This role will ensure intuitive, responsive, and secure user experiences that bridge hardware innovation with software intelligence, delivering measurable value to enterprise logistics, industrial, and mobility customers. This position collaborates closely with Software Engineering, Integration, and Product teams, and reports directly to the Director of Product Development.

     

    This full-time role is based in Odessa, FL or Chicago, IL, with remote work possible.

    Responsibilities

    1. **UI Development & Architecture**

    + Design and build responsive, high-performance user interfaces using React, TypeScript, and Vite, ensuring seamless integration with backend services.

    + Implement GraphQL queries and mutations to fetch and manage data efficiently from APIs.

    + Manage application state using tools like Zustand, optimizing for performance and scalability in complex, data-driven applications.

    + Integrate authentication flows using OAuth2 protocols to secure user sessions and access controls.

    + Champion best practices for version control with Git, including branching strategies, code reviews, and collaborative workflows.

    + Prioritize features based on user impact, performance metrics, and alignment with business goals like adoption rates and usability.

    + Ensure disciplined release management and tight coordination between frontend, backend, and field deployment teams.

    1. **Operational Excellence and Collaboration**

    + Support enterprise customer engagements, UI prototypes, and usability testing—translating feedback into interface improvements.

    + Align frontend development with commercial objectives, such as enhancing user engagement, reducing load times, and enabling ARR growth through intuitive platform features.

    + Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Sales, and Customer Success teams to deliver seamless end-to-end user experiences.

    + Define and track key metrics: page load times, user interaction rates, error rates, and ROI for UI enhancements.

    + Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes while maintaining accountability for frontend performance and efficiency.

    + Help optimize resource allocation across development environments for scalability and maintainability.

    1. **Cross-Functional Leadership and Execution**

    + Lead DevOps processes and practices in alignment with strategic and commercial objectives, including security and compliance standards.

    + Partner with Executive Leadership, Hardware Engineering, Operations, Sales, and Customer Success functions to ensure robust, integrated systems.

    + Mentor junior engineers and contribute to building a high-performing DevOps culture, including knowledge sharing on tools and best practices.

    + Lead discussions on infrastructure strategy and synthesize input from stakeholders.

    + Provide regular updates to leadership on DevOps roadmap, performance, and improvements.

    Qualifications

    + 3+ years in Front End Development or similar roles, with proven experience building scalable web applications.

    + Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, GraphQL, state management tools (e.g., Zustand), OAuth2 authentication, Vite for build tooling, and Git for version control.

    + Strong advocate of Agile methodologies with a deep understanding of end-to-end frontend lifecycle management.

    + Experience with data-driven UIs in IoT, AI/Computer Vision, or enterprise platforms.

    + Nice-to-have: Proficiency with AWS services (e.g., S3, Amplify), Kubernetes for containerized deployments, AWS Cognito for identity management, Ant Design for UI components, Apollo Client for GraphQL, and related tools for cloud-native development.

    + Background in supply chain, industrial automation, logistics technology, or mobility infrastructure preferred.

    + Strategic, analytical thinker with a methodical approach to troubleshooting and optimization.

    + Deep empathy for end-users—can translate operational complexity into intuitive, efficient interfaces.

    + Demonstrates technical acumen; data-driven, user-focused, and fluent in modern web architecture.

    + Thrives in high-growth, entrepreneurial environments and can balance innovation with reliability.
