    Job Title: Bilingual Human Resources GeneralistJob Description

     

    The HR Generalist will provide high-level administrative support to the HR/Executive Leadership Team by managing schedules, coordinating meetings, handling communication, and executing various administrative tasks. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to multitask efficiently. The HR Generalist will coordinate and execute HR policies and programs for plant operations employees, covering labor/union relations, wage and salary administration, orientation and training, employee benefits, and recruitment.

    Responsibilities

    + Act as a point of contact between executives and internal/external stakeholders via telephone, in person, and in writing.

    + Handle incoming correspondence and sensitive information while prioritizing actions.

    + Recruit, interview, and select candidates; participate in job fairs and other recruiting activities.

    + Conduct employee investigations and assist leaders with managing employee performance.

    + Partner with leadership and union representation on constructive labor relations.

    + Conduct employee orientation and assist in designing overall onboarding.

    + Create and update job descriptions.

    + Manage the unemployment process.

    + Ensure all federal, state, and local laws are followed in all HR practices.

    + Provide data and reporting for communications and ensure accurate employee data record-keeping.

    + Understand deadlines, quick turnarounds, and a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.

    + Perform additional duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + 2-3 years HR Generalist experience in a manufacturing environment.

    + Bilingual in Spanish is required.

    + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

    + Knowledge of market-best HR practices and procedures, with an understanding of governing laws.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

    + Ability to lead and influence.

    + Strong oral and written communication skills, comfortable communicating across functional levels.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Self-starter.

    + Union experience is a nice-to-have.

    + HR generalist experience in manufacturing or food sectors is advantageous.

    Work Environment

    The role operates Monday through Friday, from 7 AM to 4 PM or 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with a mandatory 8 AM daily meeting. The HR Generalist will work 1-2 Saturdays a month starting in 2026, as all HR employees will rotate. The role includes coordinating and attending monthly town halls, where the HR Generalist will translate and may need to stay later. The position offers a private office in an HR team of six, half of whom are bilingual. The workforce consists of 75% Spanish-speaking employees, and the HR Generalist may occasionally assist with union matters. The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, with opportunities for growth and development.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $72000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
