    Salary Range: $45,000 - $53,000

    Job Summary

    The Shift Supervisor I is responsible for leading hub associates and/or temp workers in warehouse operations and activities including the receiving, sorting, and scanning inbound freight. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring procedures and operations increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

     

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

     

    + Provide leadership to hub associates

    + Supervise hub associates and/or temp workers

    + Manage staffing schedules of associates and/or temp workers based on volume projections to help meet specific metric related goals

    + Organize stocks and maintain inventory

    + Inspect products for defects and damages

    + Examine incoming freight

    + Receive, unload, and place incoming inventory items appropriately

    + Oversee the sort process to ensure it is done in an efficient manner

    + Ensure team abides by all company safety and hygiene regulations

    + Collaborate with day shift transportation team

    + Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures

    + Keep warehouse clean and organized daily

     

    Qualifications, Skills, & Abilities

     

    + To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty. The attributes listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

    + Proficiency in inventory software, database, and systems

    + Good organizational and time management skills

    + Current forklift license or ability to obtain one

    + High school degree or higher required

     

    Work Enviornment

     

    + Work is performed primarily in a warehouse environment with frequent interruptions from team members and independent contractors, and regular high noise level.

     

    Physical Requirments & Physical Demands

     

    + Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds at a time

    + Must be able to adapt and work in warm and cold temperature environment

    + Must be able to maneuver and access all areas of the warehouse

    + Must be able to frequently stand, walk, and reach with arms
