Job Description
A Site Construction Automation Specialist VII, focuses coordinating construction automation systems. It involves interfacing with multiple disciplines, troubleshooting technical issues, providing training, and maintaining accurate records to optimize project execution and automation efficiency. In this role, this individual will plan and perform work requiring sound engineering judgment in the evaluation, organization, and execution of assignments. This role provides construction automation support and technical advice for projects. This position may act as a project construction automation lead for construction, responsible for managing the project implementation and coordination of construction automation systems.
• Provide technical configuration and coordination of the support for construction systems
• Communicate the data integration requirements between construction systems
• Stay current on research dealing with construction automation technologies and supported construction work practices with the ability to apply knowledge gained
• Perform construction related automation duties, and ensuring the uniformity of automation execution within Fluor’s Operating System Requirements (OSR)
• Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines
• Other duties as assigned
Basic Job Requirements
• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and twelve (12) years of work-related experience or a or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to sixteen (16) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Other Job Requirements
• Support various construction automation systems at site. Eg. Smart Construction, Nucleus, Metastorm, MCPlus, and Weld-Console.
• Liaise with Workface Planning (WFP) team to identify contractors’ needs involving automation tools.
• Coordinate training for automation tools.
• Support onboarding and access management for construction automation systems.
• Coordinate with Construction Engineering, Project Controls, Quality/Turnover, and IT for automation requirements.
• Troubleshoot automation system related issues with contractors.
• Submit service requests to software vendors and maintain resolution logs.
• Provide Navisworks technical support and training to project teams.
• Participate in Autodesk Cloud (ACC) member management and permissions.
• Maintain accurate records for engineering and construction deliverables, ensuring timely approvals and distribution.
Preferred Qualifications
• Proficienct in document control platforms and collaboration tools.
• Familiarity with BIM, Automation, and Engineering Data Management.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills for multi-disciplinary coordination.
• Understanding of both PowerBI and PowerQuery (additional understanding of SQL & VBA preferred)

Market Rate Statement: The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.

Salary Range: $102,000.00 - $184,000.00
