Description
Director, Global Demand Planning is an oversight role. Primary role and mission are to:
+ Provide business leadership on the Global Innovation Forecasting Tool (G.I.F.T.) project design and deployment
+ Support tool design, development, documentation, validation, training, and ongoing enhancement priorities
+ Represent GBP as a business expert in all volume sizing and alignment process discussions to ensure proper delivery
+ Strengthen the connection between the GBP and RDP teams focused on NPL (Pipe and Post-Pipe) plans
+ Drive improvements to overall innovation plan performance and KPI’s, ensuring NPL plans are right-sized
Key responsibilities:
+ Work collaboratively with GBP to understand and document business requirements to be built with the Global Innovation Forecasting Tool (G.I.F.T.)
+ Represent Global Demand Planning and GBP as a business leader in defining process and tool capability, ensuring accurate delivery and adoption by users
+ Develop detailed key user stories, ensuring high-level design criteria is communicated and delivered accurately
+ Lead system validation efforts by brand, document gaps and follow-through on solutions
+ Develop end-user documentation for the new tool and process
+ Become the GIFT Global Super User and conduct end-user training sessions
+ Manage the GIFT enhancement backlog list, prioritize with a collaborative alignment process, and work with vendor to implement. Ensure enhancements accommodate all brand requirements
+ Work with the Demand CoE to enable NPL forecasting efficiency improvements in o9
+ Engage with the Stat CoE to ensure the NPL Engine signal matures and is leveraged properly within the NPL process
+ Drive improvement in the NPL demand planning metrics (Forecast Accuracy & Attainment) across all Regions and Brands. Work across regions, Brands and IBP team to enable R6Q completeness.
+ Participate in key Global and Regional IBP meetings. Provide support to the Planning community and make recommendations for improvements
+ Develop and deliver key NPL business insights on Pipe and Post-Pipe performance and right-sizing opportunity
+ Build and sustain a collaborative environment in a cross-functional and cross-branded ELC environment
Qualifications
+ Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field
+ Minimum 8 years of related experience in Planning, preferably in a Global Business Planning role
+ Knowledge of, and experience with forecasting, demand planning, innovation planning and S&OP/IBP
+ Knowledge of beauty or industries with similar product portfolio breath and innovation rates
+ Excellent team player and communication skills
+ Strong analytical and modeling skills with hands-on experience with forecasting and planning tools
Capabilities:
+ Strong organizational skills, with ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple accountabilities simultaneously
+ Ability to work within and across multiple functional teams, collaborating with Planning, Regions, Brand, Supply, COE and Commercial stakeholders
+ Passion for excellent and granular execution
+ Ability to convert data into business insights
+ Strong written and oral communication skills
+ Exceptional complex problem-solving abilities
+ Ability to set and manage priorities
