About the role
We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Architect with 15–16 years of expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Kafka, SQL, Camunda BPM, Spring Boot, Java, JSON, Spring Batch, Spring MVC, Spring Core, REST API, and XML. This role requires strong domain knowledge in Payer and will be based on a hybrid work model during day shifts. As a Principal Architect, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing robust architectural solutions that align with our business objectives and drive innovation.
In this role you will
+ Design and implement scalable and efficient architectural solutions that meet business requirements and align with industry standards
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate technologies such as Kafka, SQL, and Camunda BPM
+ Oversee development and deployment of applications using Spring Boot, Java, and related frameworks to ensure performance and reliability
+ Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
+ Analyze and optimize existing systems and processes to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs

What you need to have
+ Extensive experience with Kafka, SQL, Camunda BPM, and Spring Boot, with a strong understanding of integration and architecture patterns
+ Proficiency in Java, JSON, Spring Batch, Spring MVC, Spring Core, REST API, and XML with proven successful implementations
+ Domain expertise in Payer with a comprehensive understanding of industry-specific challenges and opportunities
+ Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and innovatively
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus

+ Strong collaboration skills in hybrid environments, with proven ability to work across diverse teams

Salary and Other Compensation:
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
