Position Summary
This position is located at our Metal Tech manufacturing plant in Sparks, NV, reporting to the Quality / Continuous Improvement Engineer. The primary responsibilities include the creation, review and implementation of Quality Procedures and processes. The selected candidate will also be responsible to various teams through events, and will provide analyses and feedback on key metrics, projects, and training.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
As the Quality Control Intern, you’re at the end of the of the line, making sure our products are to specifications, top-tier and ready to hit the market. The intern will assist the Quality Engineer with all tasks related to the Quality Engineering department and be responsible review and implementation of Quality procedures and processes.
A highlight of your day to day will include:
+ Inspecting products, verifying that products are being manufactured at the highest quality levels and processes are being followed accordingly.
+ Make recommendations for better quality of product.
+ Inspecting products for proper placement based on specifications and production drawings.
+ Collects and analyzes production data. Develops and tracks KPIs at the Plant level for improvement opportunities.
+ Collaborate with product development, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure quality is integrated throughout the product lifecycle.
+ Serve as a key liaison between departments to address quality-related issues.
Position Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
+ Current student on course for bachelors degree in Engineering or related field.
+ Preferred, experience in manufacturing.
+ Problem-solving skills. Attention to detail. Ability to multitask.
+ Strong interpersonal skills, including collaboration and communication. Willingness to work in a Team environment.
+ Ability to work with a high degree autonomy in a rapidly changing and evolving environment.
