    Amergis EducationalStaffing is actively hiring Behavior Technicians for the 2025–2026 school year.These School Aides work directly with students who need instructional orbehavioral support, under the supervision of the special education departmentor designated staff. Responsibilities may also include assisting with personalcare, physical mobility, and therapeutic needs as directed by licensedprofessionals.

    Essential Duties andResponsibilities:

    + Implements IEP objectives including academic, behavioral, and independent living skills in 1:1 or classroom settings

    + Supports teacher-led activities such as lesson plans, reinforcement systems, small groups, and social games

    + Assists students in general education settings when appropriate

    + Communicates relevant student information to teachers and clinical staff

    + Accompanies students during lunch, recess, and community outings

    + Maintains strict confidentiality regarding student and family information

    + Follows programs developed by related service providers (PT, OT, SLP)

    + Supports students in developing self-care skills (toileting, hygiene, feeding, dressing)

    + Assists with behavior management techniques under the direction of BCBAs, psychologists, or teachers

    + Helps with classroom organization, materials prep, and clerical tasks

    + Assists with physical transfers and mobility support

    + Reports changes in student status as directed by IEP/IHP

    MinimumRequirements:

    + 1 year of experience preferred

    + Must be able to float within the district if needed

    + Must be flexible

    + Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

    + Participation and completion of Amergis’ Competency program when applicable

    + Current CPR if applicable

    + TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

    + Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

    + Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

    + Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site

    + Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements

    + Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required

    + Computer proficiency required

    + Must be at least 18 years of age
