    Empower Students as a Special Education Teacher (LBS1)!

     

    Do you have the passion, patience, and adaptability to make a lasting impact? We’re looking for an energetic and highly skilled Special Education Teacher (LBS1) to join our team and provide exceptional support to elementary students in a self-contained classroom.

    As a Special Education Teacher, you will:

    + Deliver individualized instruction and create engaging learning experiences for students in grades K–2.

    + Collaborate with general education staff and administrators to ensure inclusive, effective programs.

    + Support students’ academic and personal growth with patience, flexibility, and creativity.

    + Work alongside paraprofessionals and a student teacher for a truly collaborative classroom environment.

    What We’re Looking For:

    + Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)

    + Certification:

    + Valid state teaching certificate (required)

    + Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) (preferred)

    + Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Teaching certifications (preferred)

    + Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a teaching environment (preferred)

    + Skills & Traits:

    + Strong understanding of curriculum across subjects and grade levels

    + Patience, flexibility, and adaptability

    + Energetic and student-focused

    + Additional Requirements:

    + CPR certification (if applicable)

    + TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable)

    + Current health certificate (per state or contract regulations)

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

    + Minimum age: 18

    Position Details:

    + Modality: Special Education Teacher (LBS1)

    + Grade Level: Elementary (K–2)

    + Caseload:

    + Self-contained classroom

    + 10 students

    + Para and student teacher support

    + Start Date: ASAP

    + End Date: End of school year

    + Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
