    School Aide

     

    Start Date: ASAP

     

    Duration: Full 2025–2026 School Year

     

    Hours: Mon–Fri, 7:45 AM–2:45 PM (Wed until 12:25 PM)

    Overview:

    The School Aide works under the supervision of the special education department to support students requiring instructional and/or behavioral assistance. Responsibilities include working 1:1 with students with Autism, assisting with classroom preparation, and providing support for personal or therapeutic care needs as directed by health professionals.

    Minimum Requirements:

    + High School Diploma or GED

    + Must be at least 18 years old

    + Ability to meet all federal, state, and local requirements

    + Current CPR, TB screening, and health certificate (as applicable)

    Preferred Experience:

    + Previous experience working with students with Autism

    + Strong skills in verbal de-escalation and professionalism

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Provide individualized support to students with Autism and related behavioral needs

    + Assist with classroom activities and preparation

    + Float to other classrooms as needed
