Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties
+ Directs/coordinates Occupational Therapy (OT) services/treatment for the Pace program.
+ Observes and evaluates individuals annually, per IDT request and per physician's orders, to determine level of performance, level of service, and appropriate plan of care/supports.
+ Assists individuals in meeting personal outcomes by providing necessary OT adaptive equipment. Establishes and updates goals and treatment plans for adapted equipment use with re-assessment to determine appropriateness and adjustment to plans.
+ Develops Mealtime Supports in consultation with Speech Pathologist and Registered Dietitian to assist individuals in obtaining optimal nutritional health.
+ Attends Ambulatory Services clinics (if indicated) or sends supporting documentation to liaison due to new or existing issues as relates to OT department and/or re-assessment of supports and/or equipment issued by the OT department.
+ Participates in Annual Individual Support Plan (ISP) Meetings, Emergency IDT meetings, POS Meetings for individuals who are receiving direct treatment or have had recent changes to treatment program over the past year that will require therapist presence.
+ Participates weekly in the training of newly hired staff by teaching departmental specific curriculum.

Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm Pass Days Sat. &Sun
Appointment Type: This position may be filled by Probation, Promotion, Demotion, Lateral Transfer, Job Appointment or Detail to Special Duty. Preference may be given to permanent classified employees of Pinecrest Supports and Services Center.
Career Progression Group: V acancies may be filled from this recruitment as Occupational Therapist 1, 2, or 3 depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant.
