The System Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining enterprise IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and compliance. This role involves advanced technical expertise, strategic consultation, and collaboration across teams to support organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
+ Deploy, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers, storage systems, and related components.
+ Manage cloud resources, user accounts, and security settings within Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
+ Develop and maintain scripts to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.
+ Create and update technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles.
+ Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution for complex technical issues escalated from Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams.
+ Collaborate with leadership to define long-term infrastructure plans aligned with business objectives.
+ Advise on network design, configuration, and optimization for performance and security.
+ Design and implement robust backup and disaster recovery strategies.
+ Liaise with external vendors for procurement, support, and service delivery.
+ Participate in planning sessions and technical discussions with other departments to ensure alignment.
+ Ensure adherence to security standards and regulatory requirements.
+ Oversee timely deployment of patches and updates across systems.
+ Implement monitoring tools and generate reports on system health, performance, and security.
+ Guide junior team members, delegate tasks, and foster professional development.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
+ 5+ years of experience in system administration with expertise in Windows Server, Azure, and Microsoft 365.
+ Strong knowledge of networking, virtualization, and storage technologies.
+ Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, etc.).
+ Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
