Job Summary
NetApp is seeking a seasoned Senior Product Manager to join our dynamic Product Management team for Enterprise Storage Software to lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution for NetApp’s ONTAP-based enterprise storage solutions, including ASA and AFF platforms. You will work closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and customers to deliver industry-leading capabilities for block storage, virtualization, and cloud integration.
Job Responsibilities
+ Define and articulate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for enterprise storage software, aligning with NetApp’s business goals and customer needs.
+ Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer requirements to shape product direction.
+ Work closely with product development and engineering teams to guide product direction and roadmap based on industry trends and customer insights.
+ Develop and maintain a transparent, prioritized product backlog; write detailed PRFAQ documents, user stories and product features requirements.
+ Engage directly with customers and partners, providing expert advice, best practices, and support for seamless deployments.
+ Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for product and feature success; use data-driven insights to iterate and improve.
+ Perform competitive analysis and market research to stay abreast of industry developments and uncover new avenues for expansion.
+ Act as a company spokesperson at industry events, conferences, and webinars, showcasing expertise in workloads
+ Deliver training and enablement for sales and technical pre-sales teams to ensure effective customer interactions.
Job Requirements
+ Significant experience (8+ years) in product management, technical marketing, or a related field enterprise storage or cloud infrastructure.
+ Proven track record of delivering software-defined storage solutions.
+ Deep understanding of SAN protocols (FC, iSCSI, NVMe/TCP), storage architecture, virtualization ecosystem, database applications, high performance block workloads and cloud integration.
+ Familiarity with ONTAP or similar storage operating systems.
+ Solid understanding of SAN vendors and the ecosystem.
+ Strong experience in defining product roadmap, authoring product requirements and launching products.
+ Ability to analyze data, problem-solve, analyze trade-offs, and scope business requirements.
+ Ability to operate in a fast-paced, agile development environment and manage multiple, concurrent priorities.
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence others internally and externally.
+ Education
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 183,600 - 272,800 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. The range is based on 'On Target Earnings’ (OTE) representing the total potential earnings, which is the sum of the base salary and potential commission earned when performance targets are achieved. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s). These offerings are subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
