    Under the direction of the Production Planning & Logistics Manager, directs his/her efforts towards the effective utilization of operational capacities, raw materials planning and effective finish good inventory management ensuring compliance with regulations and Company policies, satisfying customer service through supply chain partnership in a cost effective environment.

    Responsibilities:

    + Lead and maintain a reliable, market-responsive and cost-effective supply chain for assigned codes by focusing on customer service through part availability and high fill rates.

    + Act as a point of contact within the SL Leadership Team and related functions within Business Units, or third parties for the coordination of all technical aspects of Supply Chain Management.

    + Manage the supply chain process and performance including tactical performance in regard to capacity planning & utilization required to meet inventory levels at the DC and to customers.

    + Optimize supply chain activities to improve business performance in cycle time, yield, cost, efficiency, customer service, inventory and other key metrics.

    + Ensure ownership and improvement of asset management process including cycle count accuracy, cycle time and WIP.

    + Oversee daily processes in moving the material flow in support of an optimized cycle time metric.

    + Provide direction and leadership for supply chain, materials and inventory planning and delivery.

    + Exhibit positive leadership traits with ability to communicate and influence at all levels of the organization.

    + Interface with both internal and external customers, suppliers, vendors and other sites globally.

    + Foster good communications, teamwork and supports total associate involvement.

    + Coordinate and drive resolution of technical issues within the Supply Chain and coordinate issue resolution through project planning and escalation.

    + Establish new process procedures and practices using process excellence tools to improve operational performance.

    + Ensure supply chain support to new product introduction and new component introduction processes.

    + Develops and implements new ideas focused on continuous process improvement, cost containment and efficiency.

    + Manages available resources to achieve a reliable, efficient and productive operation.

    + Ensure capacity plan, monitor an upgrade models to support business requirements.

    + Ensure the availability of materials and services in terms of total cost of ownership, with both internal and external customers.

    + Ensure the availability of materials needed to support site production schedules, including contingency plans.

    + Assist the Plant materials Manager in the preparation of the Annual Department Budget.

    + Maintain site policies and procedures and material control systems in accordance with Global Supply Chain goals.

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's degree (BA) required. Master’s degree preferred.

    + A minimum of 6 years of related work experience is required.

    + Preferred at least (2) years of supply chain/operations, medical device experience in a regulatory environment and knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes and procedures.

    + Certified in production and inventory management (CPIM) or certified in supply chain planning (CSCP) is desirable.

    + Preferred 2 years experience in a Manufacturing Environment.

    + A minimum of 3 years of leadership experience.

    + Experience & knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel.

    + Availability to work various work schedules, which may include 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts and/or 12-hour daily shifts, including weekends and holidays.

    + Green belt certification preferred. Process Excellence/Six Sigma Certification and/or Continuous Process Improvement Training.

    + Knowledge of all aspects of materials management, production planning, delivery and inventory control.

    + LEAN material flow, planning & scheduling.

    + Process Excellence certification or proven working knowledge, a plus.

    + Bilingual (Spanish & English).
