Job Description
BAE Systems is looking for anEquipment Specialist/Technical Writerto join our team for an exciting opportunity supporting an acquisition program for the Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications System. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving technical documentation and procedures related to the operation, maintenance, and repair of critical equipment, ensuring the continued reliability and effectiveness of these vital systems. This program is designed to extend SACCS systems life and transition into the follow-on system, known as Sentinel ICBM System (formerly Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD))
Candidates may be called upon to augment organic resources by providing breadth and depth of capabilities for:
+ Serve as subject matter expert on the operation, maintenance and repair of assigned equipment or systems
+ Analyze equipment performance data and make recommendations for improvements and forecast future spare/supply needs
+ Create and update technical manuals author, edit, and maintain Tos
+ Work closely with engineers and other specialists to gather information and ensure the accuracy of technical data
+ Read and analyze engineering drawings, specifications, and other data to create easy to understand manuals and illustrations
+ Organize, track, and report on the status of multiple documents to meet schedules and deadlines
+ Follow military standards and formats and participate in formal reviews and verification/validation events to ensure compliance
+ Collaborate with other SMEs to integrate graphics, illustrations, and diagrams that enhance user comprehension
Potential candidates will validate the abilities to accomplish the following activities while demonstrating strong leadership attributes of a team of subject matter experts accomplishing the same.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
+ 3 yrs of directly related experience in Logistics services
+ Proven ability to develop and maintain technical documentation in accordance with military standards (e.g., MIL-STD-40051, MIL-STD-3007, 63-101, 00-5-1)
+ Experience working with Engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics
+ Experience with DoD logistics systems and databases, such as DLA Logistics Information Service (DLIS), FedLog, or similar.
+ Have excellent interpersonal skills, outstanding oral and written communication skills, and good organizational skills
+ Active US DoD Secret Security Clearance granted within the last 5 years
+ Demonstrated self-discipline to plan and prioritize their own work with successful results
+ Due to its special-access, classified working environment, this position is only located at Hill Air Force Base, UT, and is not conducive to telework schedules

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
+ _Previous work with DoD, USAF or other military communication systems_
+ _Direct experience supporting DoD or USAF maintenance programs, specifically related to Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) systems or strategic weapon systems (e.g., ICBMs)._
+ _Familiarity with supply chain management principles, including inventory control, forecasting, and obsolescence management._
+ _Certification as a Certified Professional Technical Communicator (CPTC) or equivalent technical writing certification._
+ _Proficiency in creating technical illustrations and diagrams using software such as Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, or similar._
+ _Understanding of configuration management principles and practices as they relate to technical documentation._
+ _Experience with technical data, stock-listing, creating technical manuals_
+ _General knowledge of requirements management tools_
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $60076 - $102130
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
