Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Remote Commercial Title Examiner with expertise in North Carolina and South Carolina to join an industry-leading title company. Unlike other states, NC and SC are attorney states, meaning attorneys perform the initial title search/ abstract. This examiner will be responsible for conducting a final quality control review of the attorney-prepared title search, and a preliminary exam from the global team, ensuring accuracy and completeness before creating the final title commitment that will be sent to the client.

This role involves reviewing legal descriptions, verifying all searches, adding curative requirements, and ensuring compliance with state-specific regulations. The examiner will work closely with attorneys and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and obtain additional documentation when needed. This position is part of the National Production Service team, handling high-liability commercial projects such as industrial warehouses, hospitals, agricultural land, and large commercial buildings. The role is fully remote but requires strong familiarity with NC and SC title practices.

Skills and Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Commercial Title Examiner.

• Expertise in North Carolina and South Carolina title practices.

• Strong understanding of legal descriptions and ability to review complex title issues (probate, trust, judicial foreclosure, etc.).

• Experience with title software and systems.

• Familiarity with metes and bounds and section land descriptions.

Ability to collaborate with attorneys and internal teams to resolve discrepancies.
