    Stable, growing restaurant franchisee located in Morgan City, LA is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our growing finance team. You will play a critical role in managing daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting. You will be responsible for month-end and year-end close processes, assisting in preparing financial statements

    Responsibilities

    + Daily accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations and accounts payable responsibilities, and cash monitoring

    + Month-end and year-end close processes and workpapers, ensuring timely and accurate reporting

    + Conduct variance analysis and investigate discrepancies, providing insightful explanations

    + Assist with budgeting

    + Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts

    + Assist with external audits and tax filings

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Preferred

    + 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting

    + Proficiency in accounting software and Excel

    + Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    + Strong attention to detail and accuracy

    + Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
